Tyler's School Easter Parade

Today was Tyler's school Easter Parade. It was so cute! All the little kindergarten kids in their hats they designed for Easter. Tyler loved his hat and had a blast showing it off.

Does anyone know what this animal is?

It's called a Naked Mole Rat. It's very funny and scary looking at the same time. These little things are native to Africa. These animals are very similar to bees. They have a complex social structure in which only the female (Queen) and one to three males reproduce, while the rest of the colony function as workers. They are well adapted to underground existence. Their eyes are small which makes their eyesight poor however they are highly adept to moving underground and can move backwards as fast as they can move forwards. Their large teeth are used for digging and their lips seal behind the teeth to prevent soil from filling their mouth. They have little hair and pinkish or yellowish skin.

I can't imagine why Tyler likes these things. He says he wants to open up a Naked Mole Rat zoo.
